Pancreatic Cancer Metabolomics Research Services

Pancreatic Cancer Metabolomics Research Services

The pancreas is mainly composed of three main functional compartments: ducts, exocrine glands, and endocrine glands. Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma accounts for more than 90% of pancreatic cancers and has the characteristics of high heterogeneity, insidious onset, strong invasiveness, rapid development, difficult detection, and poor prognosis. Most patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage. Therefore, early detection is expected to provide more effective treatment and improve poor prognosis. Metabolomics quantitatively analyzes all metabolites in organisms and looks for the relative relationship between metabolites and physiological and pathological changes. Most of its research objects are small molecular substances with a relative molecular mass of less than 1000 Da, such as amino acids, organic acids, nucleotides, carbohydrates, vitamins, lipids, etc. Metabolomic studies provide information complementary to valuable information obtained from studies of the human genome, transcriptome, and proteome and can improve understanding of the etiology and biology of pancreatic cancer. Help identify novel biomarkers for pancreatic cancer risk assessment and early detection of the disease.

Services We Offer

Services Description
Targeted metabolomics Targeted metabolomics mainly uses standards as reference to carry out targeted detection and quantification of a specific metabolite or a certain type of metabolite. Metabolite concentrations are calculated from a standard curve, allowing for absolute quantitation.
Untargeted metabolomics Based on liquid mass spectrometry (LC-MS), it can detect all small molecule metabolites in biological samples such as cells, tissues, organs or body fluids without bias and as much as possible. Comparative analysis was conducted between the experimental group and the control group, differential metabolites were screened through statistical analysis, and metabolic pathway analysis was performed on the differential metabolites to find the relative relationship between metabolites and physiological and pathological changes.
Lipidomics Based on liquid mass spectrometry (LC-MS), it can detect as many lipid molecules as possible in biological samples such as cells, tissues, organs or body fluids without bias. Comparative analysis was conducted between the experimental group and the control group, and differential lipid molecules were screened through statistical analysis to find the relative relationship between lipid metabolism changes and physiological and pathological changes, and to reveal the mechanism of lipids in various life activities.
