Cytokines are low molecular weight soluble peptides and proteins with a variety of biological activities that are synthesized and secreted by immune or non-immune cells and play an important role in the immune response. They regulate cellular signaling and have been shown to influence the immune response to a variety of diseases including brain tumors.
Cytokines and their receptors play a key role in biological processes. Cytokine dysfunction or dysregulation may lead to a variety of pathophysiological conditions. Alfa Cytology offers brain tumor cytokine analysis services to our clients, and we provide methods including cell biology assays, molecular biology assays, and immunology assays. Cytokines that can be tested include interferons, interleukins, lymphokines, and tumor necrosis factors. Cytokine analysis is critical to brain tumor research, disease diagnosis, and drug discovery, and our services allow for the characterization of cytokine profiles specific to brain tumors, which will help you design therapeutic molecules that effectively target brain tumorigenesis, metastasis, and other pathways.
The classical method we use to detect cytokines, among which the sandwich ELISA is commonly used. by this technique, we can directly detect cytokines secreted outside the cell in the free state. It is highly sensitive, simple to perform, and economical.

We first obtain the required single-cell suspension, and then after activation and permeation treatment, we reach the concentration threshold for intracellular staining to detect cytokines, and then perform intracellular cytokine staining, and finally, the positive percentage of synthetic cytokines can be detected. It is complementary to the ELISA method.

The CBA technique is used when a client wants to test multiple indicators in a single sample at the same time, but the sample size is insufficient. This is a multiplex protein quantification method based on a flow cytometric detection system, which has the advantages of high sensitivity, a wide detection range, and good reproducibility.
Understanding how cytokines influence and regulate the metastatic spread of cancer to the brain can help improve your diagnostic capabilities and treatment outcomes. Alfa Cytology is an industry pioneer in this area, so please feel free to contact us to discuss any project regarding cytokine analysis for brain tumors.
